Concord Police to host neighborhood meeting to discuss proposed drone program

Concord, California – Concord Police will host their next UAS (Drone) Neighborhood Zoom Meeting tonight from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

The meeting will be for the following neighborhood groups: Dana Estates, East Concord, Monte Gardens, San Vincente, and Silverwood.

Other meetings will be held in the very near future for all other Concord neighborhoods.

The meeting is to discuss the potential creation of a Public Safety Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS Drone) program.

Small remotely operated UAS, also commonly referred to as drones, have successfully been implemented in Public Safety across the country and these programs have proven to be an efficient and effective tool used to enhance First-Responder services to a community.
