Taylor Swift fans invited to Concord Music and Market for a high energy tribute concert August 6

Concord, California – The City of Concord invites residents and visitors to another evening of live music as the popular Music & Market concert series returns this Thursday‚ with a live performance for Taylor Swift fans of all ages․

In addition to the free event‚ ‘Salsa on the Plaza’ will take place at Todos Santos Plaza‚ where bands perform‚ and there is shopping and local food in a festive outdoor setting․

The Farmers Market is open from 4 p․m․ to 6:30 p․m․ so that people can shop for local produce and browse vendor stalls before the main concert begins․

Taylor Swift tribute to headline the concert

This week’s entertainment is Twist on Taylor‚ an unofficial tribute show to global pop superstar Taylor Swift and her music․

Sarah Jessica Rhodes‚ known as SJ‚ produced the show with a goal of simulating a Taylor Swift concert․ The show features costumes‚ guitar and piano‚ dance and choreography that match those from the corresponding Swift record․

City officials have encouraged concert-goers to wear their sparkliest outfits and be prepared to sing along to most of Taylor Swift’s most popular songs․

To this day‚ the Music & Market series remains a popular Concord community event encouraging residents to visit local businesses and farmers who participate in the weekly farmers market․

The city also recognized the organizations that help make the event possible through sponsorship. This year’s Music & Market series is presented by Pacific Service Credit Union and receives additional support from Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery, Ashby Lumber, Marathon Renewables, the Concord Police Association, MCE, the Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association, Brookfield Residential Northern California, John Muir Health, and Hilton Concord.
