Middle-aged male pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle in Hayward

Hayward, California – On Saturday, the Hayward Police Department responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident that included a pedestrian near the intersection of Tennyson Road and Dickens Ave.

According to the officers, a male pedestrian aged 45 years old was struck by the vehicle. Paramedics declared him dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained uninjured and stayed at the scene following the crash.

Authorities said they do not think drunk driving was the cause of the accident.
