Person shot while trying to help robbery victim in Concord mall
Concord, California – A good Samaritan was shot by robbery suspects at a mall after trying to help the victim, according to Concord police.
Concord Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting in the Sun Valley Mall.
Upon arrival, officers found one wounded person who was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment. According to hospital employees, the victim’s condition is stable.
The initial investigation showed that the wounded person was trying to help a robbery victim when he was shot by the suspects as they exited the mall.
Authorities were looking for the suspects, so the mall was closed for approximately 45 minutes, and eventually no arrests were made.
