Richmond police investigating a break-in at the Bella Vista Apartment Complex parking area
Richmond, California – In the late-night hours of Thursday, a number of vehicles were broken into at the Bella Vista Apartments in Richmond.
A total of 10 to 15 cars were broken into overnight in the parking area of the apartment complex, according to the Richmond Police Department.
An interviewed resident at the apartment complex said that this is not the first time that vehicles have been burglarized. He added that his vehicle, as well, had been struck a number of times.
Another interviewed resident at the complex said there had been a problem with security.
“I come out here in the streets because they don’t let you smoke on the premises. I come out here every night in the dark and there’s no security anywhere,” the resident said.
The police have said that they are attempting to get any security camera footage. However, at this time, they have no leads.
