Two suspects taken into custody in connection with the 7-Eleven store double homicide

Pittsburg, California – Two of the three suspects considered responsible for murdering two young women in Pittsburg have been taken into custody.

According to the Contra Costa County District Attorney, Destiny Boyd, 22, of Sacramento, Lonnie Steward, 28, and Jordan Crear, 20, of Antioch, were charged with murder in connection with the homicide that occurred outside the 7-Eleven store in September 2021.

The investigation showed that the target of the aforementioned suspects was not the women that were shot but a man who had robbed Crear in the past, according to authorities. They added that Crear started shooting at the Infiniti, thinking his target was driving the vehicle, but it turned out that two females were in it.

Angelique Abercrombie, 21, of Pittsburg, and Courtnee Allen, 23, of San Leandro, both died as a result of the shooting. Medics pronounced Allen dead at the scene, and Abercrombie succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
