Group robbed a jewelry store in Concord, police looking for the suspects

Concord, California – A smash-and-grab robbery occurred at a jewelry store at the Sunvalley Shopping Center on Monday evening, and Concord police are looking for several suspects.

According to authorities, a group of nine individuals entered the Iceberg Diamonds store about 7:30 p.m. with hammers and began destroying glass display cases and taking jewelry.

The robbers wielded their hammers at the personnel when they attempted to stop them. The suspects left the store before the arrival of the police. Inside the mall, some individuals thought they heard gunshots, but police say the sounds were actually hammers smashing glass displays.

There have been no arrests made yet regarding the robbery. Contact Detective Christine Corey at (925) 603-5828 if you have any information.
