In May, law enforcement discovered the dead body of a little girl inside the apartment complex where she had been living. According to the police, the apartment was filled with evidence of previous fentanyl usage.
This case is very similar to the fatalities in 2019 in Santa Rosa, California, of a father and his 13-month-old baby, both of whom died of a fentanyl overdose. In that case, federal prosecutors convicted several people.
