Pet lovers in Contra Costa County may adopt an animal for $25 until May 14
Contra Costa County, California – Anyone interested in adopting an animal may do so for just a $25 adoption fee until May 14 through a new initiative as part of the cooperation between the Bissel Pet Foundation and Contra Costa Animal Services.
Contra Costa Animal Service has teamed up with the Bissel Pet Foundation to provide discounted adoptions in an effort to meet the purpose of the “Empty the Shelter” adoption campaign, which is to place homeless pets in Contra Costa County in homes where they will be loved.
The average fee pet lovers paid for adopting an animal before this adoption campaign ranged from $104 to $284. Individuals that adopt an animal until May 14 will pay a symbolic fee of $25. That fee only covers the costs incurred for the animal, such as vaccination, spray/neuter, and micro-chipping.
Adopters are asked to visit the Contra Costa County Animal Services’ Martinez adoption center to meet the animals or click here to view available pets.
