Suspect detained after search of car turns up firearm, drug evidence

Contra Costa County, California – Pleasant Hill police said a search of a car allegedly involved in a recent hit-and-run culminated in Tuesday’s arrest of a 21-year-old man on firearms and drug charges.

The vehicle was spotted at around 7:20 p.m and the search turned up a charged firearm and evidence of narcotics in the 500 block of Contra Costa Boulevard.

The driver, whose identity was not released by police, was detained and processed into the Martinez Detention Center.
