Altercation between a group of people left one person with deep cuts

Concord, California – One person was injured with some type of sword in a creek bed under Willow Pass Road in Concord following an altercation involving a small group of people. The victim sustained deep cuts on their arm and leg.

After the incident was reported at around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers were sent to the scene to search for an armed man with some type of sword in the area. There was no description of the assailant provided at the time of the report.

The wounded person was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of significant injuries. Information regarding the condition of the victim was not disclosed.

Police did not say whether the suspect was taken into custody.
