BART resumed service between Concord and Pleasant Hill after crews put out a grass fire

Concord, California – Bay Area Rapid Transit said that service between Concord and Pleasant Hill was back to normal after a grass fire in the area was put out. The fire had caused service to be stopped for a while.

However, passengers in both the SFO Airport and Antioch directions may still face significant delays.

BART posted on Twitter that the fire near the Concord train yard was reported shortly before 5 a.m. and has since been extinguished by crews. As a result of the fire, the transit agency was forced to turn off power in the area.

Additional information was not released.
