Contra Costa County accepting applications for the Aviation Advisory Committee position

Contra Costa County, California – Applications are now being accepted by Contra Costa County in order to fill the Member At-Large position on the Aviation Advisory Committee (AAC).

Following selection by the Board of Supervisors, the term will begin on September 14, 2022 and continue until it ends on February 29, 2024.

Residents of Contra Costa County and/or anyone working in the county are eligible to apply for this position, which is intended to represent the interests of all county stakeholders regarding issues concerning Buchanan Field and Byron Airports.

In its role as an advisory group to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors (often referred to as the Board), the Airport Advisory Committee (AAC) provides the Board with suggestions and advice about aviation issues that are important to Contra Costa County Airports. The AAC gets together for a meeting on the second Thursday of every month at 10:00 a.m. at either Buchanan Field or Byron Airport. This is the regular meeting schedule.

No applications will be accepted after the deadline of 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, whether they are submitted online or in person at the County Administration Building located at 1025 Escobar Street, 1st Floor, Martinez, California 94553.

Anyone interested in applying should take into account that they must be available for public or Zoom interviews at the Airports Committee Meeting that will take place on September 14, 2022, at 11 a.m.
