Identity of victim killed in stabbing incident released, suspect still at large

Concord, California – The identity of the victim who was fatally stabbed the previous weekend in Concord has been released by the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office.

The victim was identified as Thomas Arellano, of Concord, age 31 by the coroner.

At around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, police were sent to the 3000 block of Bennett Way in reference to an incident inside a home. He was taken to a hospital where he later died as a result of multiple stab wounds, according to police reports.

Prior to police arriving, the suspect had fled the scene and is still at large. The police did not disclose any further information.
