San Jose man arrested for murder in connection with suspicious vehicle fire
San Jose, California – A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with a suspicious vehicle fire that claimed the life of a man early on Sunday morning, according to San Jose police.
According to the police, Martin Cabrera, a resident of San Jose who is 50 years old and was arrested for murder, On the day of the incident, the police said they found Cabrera at a local homeless encampment.
A reported car fire drew firemen to the area of Pomona Avenue near Barnard Avenue in the Alma Neighborhood of the city at around 5:45 in the morning. After the fire was extinguished, the authorities found the body of a man inside the SUV.
Evidence gathered by investigators pointed at Cabrera as the main suspect in this case.
There was no information available whether the man was dead when the fire occurred or he died as a result of smoke inhalation or flames.
