Attempted robbery leaves a man wounded in San Francisco
San Francisco, California – Authorities said an attempted robbery in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood left a 54-year-old man wounded.
According to police, the incident occurred at 7:18 p.m. in the neighborhood of Fourth and Clara streets. The victim was shot by a suspect after refusing to hand over his cellphone to him. The suspect fled the area after the shooting.
The victim’s injuries were said to be non-life threatening. However, he was transported to a hospital for treatment and is expected to recover soon.
A detailed description of the suspect was not provided by authorities, and it was only said that he appeared to be in his 30s.
