Nearly 100 BART employees resigned or were fired for failing to comply with vaccination mandate
San Francisco, California – Approximately 100 BART employees have left or been dismissed in recent months for failing to comply with the agency’s COVID-19 vaccination policy.
Nearly 3,900 BART workers have proved their complete vaccination status as of March 2.
According to the report, 89 workers did not comply with the agency’s vaccine rule, which took effect on December 13, 2021.
51 of the abovementioned BART employees resigned voluntarily, while the remaining 38 were fired.
There has been a 250-person drop in the number of BART workers since March 2021. This is partly because of the vaccine requirement, a retirement program that gives people money if they retire early, and over 200 more resignations, retirements, and forced dismissals.
