Divorced woman adopted two minors in less than a month, but a mysterious discovery changed her life completely

Being a mother and being called “mom” was everything she wanted to achieve in her life. The 40-year-old K. Page was dedicated to becoming a mother and having children she could look after every single day for the rest of her life. Few years ago, she divorced her husband, but her priorities remained in place and she was not changing her course no matter what.

Despite being a single woman, she was constantly fostering children in hopes of adopting a child. Her dreams came true when she was offered the chance to adopt a 2-year-old boy who was in need of foster care.

Without hesitation, Page confirmed that she was immediately ready to adopt the little boy. It had been less than a month since her adopted son, Grayson, moved in with her. Page received yet another call; this time she was told that a one-year-old girl also needed a foster home. Page accepted, and the little girl, later named Hannah, moved with the mother and the adopted boy.

Page’s several-year-long dream has finally come true. She was happy with the opportunity to adopt not one, but two children in less than a month. While the new family was still enjoying their first days together, Page noticed that both Grayson and Hannah were born in the same hospital and the names of their parents were the same.

In the upcoming period, Page saw other similarities between the two children. They both have a chin dimple and another “feature only a mama would see because it’s covered by their diaper!” she told People. Page contacted the children’s case worker, and within two weeks, she learned she was correct; Grayson and Hannah were biological brother and sister. Page confirmed the news with a DNA test that, she said, helped with her official adoption.

“They were meant to find each other, that’s pretty clear. I think God intended that from the beginning. If they weren’t related, Hannah would not have stayed with our family. She would have been placed with other relatives. It was a great thing,” she later said in an interview.

The adoption procedure for both children lasted more than a year. According to Page, she formally adopted Hannah a year and a half after officially adopting Grayson. But it was worth it.

“They were as shocked as I was. Everybody thought I was crazy,” she recalled. “I think everyone thought it was a far stretch because I didn’t have that much to go on but my intuition was telling me there was more to the story. We kept it pretty quiet until there was more information to support the theory.”

Grayson is now six, while Hannah is five years old. Page and her two children live in their home in Colorado. Meanwhile, Page confirmed that she adopted third child and she is now a mother of three children.
